As a full paying adult member, as well as legal advice and assistance, you will enjoy all the benefits that we currently offer our members. This includes all the financial benefits (after any qualifying period) and all the benefits that we have negotiated on behalf of our members. You will also have the opportunity to attend lodge and have the power to vote in Unity ballots, where applicable.
Youth Rate - £1.80 Per Week
The juvenile rate is for members who are under 18 years of age. You will receive all the same benefits as an adult member, including legal advice and assistance, (financial benefits pro-rata) but will pay a reduced rate until you become 18. You will also have the power to vote in Unity ballots where applicable.
Unemployed/Retired - £2.65 Per Month
Members who choose to continue with their membership by opting to pay the reduced rate after becoming unemployed or taking retirement will still receive legal advice and assistance and have access to the benefits we have negotiated on behalf of our members as well as receiving a copy of Unity News. You will not be entitled to any financial benefits while paying the reduced rate, although you will have the power to vote in Unity ballots, where applicable. When an unemployed member returns to work and resumes paying the full subscription rate, their union membership will be seen as continuous for the period of unemployment. This will then count towards future financial benefits.
Student - £10.00 Per Annum
Any member paying the student rate will be entitled to receive legal advice and assistance. They will also receive a copy of Unity News. Such members will not be entitled to financial or other benefits, nor will they have the power to vote in any ballots.
